   Tabriz University of Medical Sciences' Aging Research Institute will host the Third International Aging Congress 'Active Aging' and the 7th Professor Alavi Specialized Meeting; a scientific event with the participation of Related organizations within the United Nations such as the World Health Organization (who) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), experts, researchers, and enthusiasts from all over the country and the world, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, introducing research achievements, and providing new solutions in the field of aging.

Main themes & panels of the congress:

The congress will be held with a scientific-applied approach on the following themes and panels:

• Active aging

• Physical activity and exercise

• Challenges of Population Ageing and Rejuvenation

• Longevity and Common Diseases & Disorders

• Social services and care systems

• Age-friendly cities

• Technology, innovation and the future of Aging

• Policy making

• Population Ageing and Sustainable Development

• Rehabilitation

Partnership opportunities:

Researchers, experts, and activists in the field of aging can submit their works in the form of abstracts, research projects, innovative ideas, and successful experiences by 31 December 2025.

The process of evaluating works at the Third International Congress on Aging 'Active Aging' has been designed in a way that, while maintaining scientific quality, provides researchers with the opportunity to present valuable achievements.

Article reviewing

Abstracts will be reviewed in a single stage.

Accepted papers will be presented at the congress in two formats, depending on the opinion of the faculty and referees, in both oral and poster formats. All accepted papers will be published in official journals and a congress certificate will be provided.

Judging research projects, innovative ideas, and successful experiences

The evaluation of these works will be carried out in two stages:

1. First stage - Preliminary judging: The registered works will be reviewed based on scientific and innovation criteria, and the works that achieve the desired score will advance to the second stage.

2. Second stage - Final judging at the Congress: The selected works will be presented at the Congress, and the final judging will take place simultaneously with the Congress.

Awards and Grants

Selected works in each section will be awarded special prizes in the form of research grants and cash prizes to recognize outstanding researchers and innovators and support the continuation of research and development in the field of aging.
